
Gianni Jannke
Analyst
Gianni Jannke is an Analyst at FEA, where he supports the firm’s research, publications, product development, and client-facing market intelligence.
His work focuses primarily on global log and lumber markets, sawmill costs, and the systems and workflows that support FEA’s data-driven products.
Gianni is the principal analyst for FEA’s Global Sawmill Cost Benchmarking Service, a quarterly publication detailing sawmill cost competitiveness across 25 countries and regions. He leads international cost research, survey work, modeling, and methodology development to help clients evaluate costs, revenues, and margins across major producing regions.
Gianni is also an author and editor of FEA’s weekly Wood Markets Status & Trends (WMST) report. He has supported WMST’s expansion beyond lumber to include additional wood products, end-use markets, product pricing from PricePulse, and other proprietary datasets.
Beyond his core research and editorial responsibilities, Gianni contributes to FEA’s marketing, website development, workflow tools, and internal technology strategy. He also plays a central role in the planning and execution of FEA conferences, including the Global Softwood Log & Lumber Conference and Forest Products Forum.
Gianni holds a BA from Bowdoin College.
